60 More Starlink Satellites Off to Space

SpaceX just launched second batch of Starlink satellites bringing a total of launched Starlink satellites to 122. The Falcon 9, that used for the first time a recycle fairing, took off at 9:56 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The injection into the orbit at 10:59 a.m. EDT was confirmed on SpaceX’s twitter account.

The Starlink constellation that is aiming to start the commercial broadband service by 2020 according to Elon Musk’s tweet last month. In addition, last month Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filed to ITU for the frequency rights for additional 30,000 Starlink satellites.

This was the first ever time in the history to re-use a rocket’s nose cone or commonly known as fairing and the fourth time to re-use a rocket booster.
